Preventative Medicine

We want your pet to live a long, healthy and happy life. Preventative medicine is the best way to achieve this! Your pet should be assessed by a doctor at least once a year. During the physical exam of your pet, we provide a complete assessment of their overall health and well-being. We can then formulate a plan to provide the best optimal care for your pet.

While our goal is to provide preventative care and to keep your pet healthy, we realize that pets frequently become ill and need immediate and special attention. We have the appropriate training, pharmacy, and tools necessary to provide the care that your pet deserves. If we feel that your pet would benefit from seeing a veterinary specialist, we will make sure that a referral is offered in a timely manner to the appropriate place.

We offer Recombitek canine vaccines which have been proven safe and effective to protect puppies and dogs from a variety of diseases. For some vaccines, extensive research and the use of advanced science (recombinant technology) may help protect your pet without adjuvants and the potential risks of those adjuvants.

We offer Purevax feline vaccines to help protect cats against a number of diseases, including rabies, feline leukemia (FeLV), panleukopenia, and pathogens that commonly cause respiratory disease in cats. This family of vaccines induces an effective immune response without the use of adjuvants that can present potential risks to cats.

A simple way you can help keep your pet healthy is by protecting him or her against parasites. Heartworms, fleas, ticks, and other internal and external parasites are much more than just pests; they can cause life-threatening conditions in your pet—and cause severe, potentially fatal, health problems for you and your family. We will recommend the best preventive regimen for your pet, based on lifestyle and risk factors. We can also provide expert advice on keeping your whole household safe.
